What is CUGM?

Clergy Uniting for Growth and Ministry is an organization of clergy and church leaders from many different backgrounds    and points of view with a common commitment to making disciples of Jesus Christ. We have a mutual appreciation for the possibility- thinking attitude developed by Dr. Robert Schuller, and a common desire to help each other in this commitment to build strong and growing churches today.  Our organization is based on peer ministry - we share, network, mentor and encourage each other in doing God's work. 

OUR PURPOSE AND THEOLOGY

Our purpose is to help each other make disciples for Jesus Christ.

Our goal is strong, growing vibrant churches of all kinds.

Our basic theological statement is:

WE AFFIRM:

That "Jesus is Lord,"
And since we accept Him as Lord and Savior,
He lives in me and He lives in you.
In the light of that precious and holy relationship,
I will treat you as I would treat Him!
I will hold you to your best and ask that you hold me to my best
And through the power of His grace,
I will forgive you as I myself am forgiven.
As members of Clergy Uniting for Growth and Ministry
we believe that we can do more together
than we can do apart from one another.
